Cutoff
Cutoff (Cut Off) Mountain, ten miles east of Hamilton in eastern Hamilton County (at 31?44' N, 97?57' W), has an elevation of 1,280 feet above sea level. It is separated by a narrow valley from a range of low peaks to the east; this separation is probably the origin of its name. Soils in the area are clay and clay loams and support oak, juniper, and grasses.
