Hosted in Faunt LeRoy Park, with a rich and colorful history all its own, Coryell County Heritage Day will entertain close to 30 vendors registered at this time, a bake off, horseshoe tournament, wood chopping contest, tea party and live music. There will be many free games for the children, including marbles, The Game of Graces, Blind man?s Bluff and bobbing for apples. Intermingled with these games and items for sale will be living history displays and demonstrators .Volunteer workers will be dressed in period clothing reflecting their heritage and ancestry such as kilts, handmade dresses, bonnets, military attire. We invite the public to do the same and share their own history. Visitors will have the chance to make corn husk dolls, see how a quilt was made, and demonstrations of black powder guns. Mother Neff Park will also be in attendance and doing hands on activities with the children.
