"Cass, County Courthouse located in Linden, Texas. Listed as an active courthouse. Designed by architect Charles Ames and Stewart Moore and constructed by J. Thomas Veal and L.W. Lisenbee,1866/1933 in the Classical Revival style. Four story buff brick and concrete courthouse with limestone details. Distinguished by low-relief lunettes over third floor windows, grand arched entry, and steel casement windows. Discovery of oil brought need for courthouse."
