Sr. Performers Workshop- Led & designed by certified EC-12 educators Sr. Performers Workshop is designed for ages 12 and up. This three week camp is sure to both educate and entertain. Designed with both the novice and experienced older actor in mind, we will introduce students who are new to acting to basic skills as well as build upon and enhance the skills more experienced actors have been learning in their theatre arts classes at school or by participating in previous theatre performances. The students will work on developing and refining their acting skills such as character creation and movement in conjunction with developing the singing/speaking voice and incorporating intermediate choreography into the performance. Workshop participants will also be taught and expected to become adept at stagecraft concepts such as blocking, projection and stage direction to help increase confidence and deliver a compelling performance. We will also work with students on activities involving mask work, improvisation, theatre arts games, Shakespearian acting and theatre history. At the end of the three week workshop session the students will perform production for a public audience. DVD?s will be available of the performance. (non- musical) A funny, modern take on the classic fairy tale complete with a chase scene.
