Description Castro, County Courthouse located in Dimmitt, Texas. Listed as an active courthouse. Designed by architect Townes & Funk and constructed by WPA,1940 in the Modern style. Designed by A. O. Watson and built in 1897 by A. O. Watson and Eugene T. Heiner, the DeWitt County Courthouse is an example of the Romanesque Revival style and was influenced by architect H. H.
