Located in Jefferson's historic district, the Cottage at Mulberry Place and Old Mulberry Inn B&B offer 10 unique and distinctively decorated guest rooms. Rooms feature king beds, antiques and heirlooms, original art, private baths with footed tubs, showers, cable TV and VCR or DVD, CD players and ceiling fans. The newest rooms are in Memories and Moments cottages, both of which were moved from a nearby town and completely refurbished to accommodate guests. Four of the cottage rooms boast generously sized soaking tubs for two persons and three of the rooms have separate two-person showers, making them perfect for that romantic getaway for which Old Mulberry Inn and Jefferson are known. The inn, built as a bed and breakfast in 1996-7, is a stunning combination of 21st-century comforts and 19th-century charm. The owners chose an architectural style that represents the antebellum heyday of Jefferson, culling antiques shops and salvage yards to furnish the stately Greek Revival inn. Old Mulberry Inn and the cottages have been featured in Southern Living, the L.A. Times Magazine and the travel sections of major Texas newspapers.
