The Conner Museum grew out of John Conners love for history. Objects of historical interest over ran his classroom into the Manning Hall corridors. The purpose was then as it is today the preservation of what life was like in previous years and educating others about the past. Over the years the museum has metamorphosed from a collection of curiosities into a professional organization with a well defined plan for the future. It serves as a historical storehouse for Kingsville and South Texas along with the University.
