Interurban Railway Museum

Located in the Prairies and Lakes region, the town of Plano, Texas is in Collin county Texas.


Information

Plano transportation history is brought back to life with this interesting exhibit. Once a vital part of the Texas Electric Railway which stretched from Denison to Waco, the Interurban is one of the original electric cars that ran on the tracks through Plano. Also on site is Car 360 which carried mail, as well as passengers. Open Monday thru Friday from 10:00am-2:00pm and Saturday from 1:00pm-5:00pm. There is no entrance fee; however, contributions are greatly appreciated. Individual and group tours of the museum can be arranged by contacting the museum.
